DCU DRAMA proudly present, The New Writers' Festival!

The New Writers Festival is a yearly event which celebrates the quality of material which can be produced by new talent. DCU Drama members will gain the opportunity to experiment with acting, writing, directing, producing, lighting and MD-ing for a variety of plays. What makes the New Writers festival truly special is that these plays ( from ten minutes to fifty minutes in length) are written by students from across the DCU campus! Over the course of approximately four weeks, members are given the opportunity to gain a new insight into the workings of productions, both on stage and off.

Spurred on by the demand for a more hands on approach to theatre the New Writers' Festival was born. In just 4 weeks, this Directing, Writing and Acting (DWA) workshop group will have written, devised and directed a number original pieces which will be performed on Thursday 16th Novemeber at 8pm in The Space. With themes such as remorse, abuse, paranoia along with splashes of comedy it is sure to be a colourful night!!!

Tickets €4 students, €5 other (on door).
