Lisa Keegan
2011 - 2012
Hi everyone! I'm Lisa and I am vice chair of DCU Drama.
I've been involved with the society ever since my big break as a Pixie the D4 in Panto 2009. Since then I've gone on to more serious roles such as Clarissa the chicken (Little Red Riding Hood) and Debbie the nerd (back to the 80's). I have also had the chance to write and direct with the New Writer's Festival and the ISDA's. My main claim to fame involves being part of the fantastic fourseome that was B*witched, winners of Stars in Their Eyes 2010; we are kind of a big deal.
I owe so much to the society, and it owes me a new liver, this is a fair trade.
I'm looking forward so much to the next year and getting to know all our new members. I would encourage everyone to get involved in as much as possible as there is dangerous amounts of craic to be had. xx
Jodi Halpin
2010 - 2011
Hi everyone, I'm Jodi and I'm the Vice- Chair of drama this year, having been Training Officer in the committee last year.
I've been involved in a range of Drama productions, the Panto two years in a row (once as a Scottish man and again as a Liverpudlian slut!), I also produced last years 'Please Talk Festival' and last years Pantomime as one half of a Jolly team, ran numerous workshops and acted in the LOAFS. I also took part in the amazing production of RENT both in the Helix and in DCU as well as being involved in the general flow of the society!. I'd have to say that I'm passionate about Comedy in particular and owes it to DCU Drama for finding all of my best friends in college (and in life!). I'm really excited for the year ahead and meeting all the new talent (in Drama that is!)..and any new ideas, I would love to hear them!!.
For all newcomers to Drama, I'd just like to say: throw yourself into wherever your talent lies, but don't be afraid to try new things!..and Enjoy!! xxx
