Hi everyone, I'm Jodi and I'm the Vice- Chair of drama this year, having been Training Officer in the committee last year.
I've been involved in a range of Drama productions, the Panto two years in a row (once as a Scottish man and again as a Liverpudlian slut!), I also produced last years 'Please Talk Festival' and last years Pantomime as one half of a Jolly team, ran numerous workshops and acted in the LOAFS. I also took part in the amazing production of RENT both in the Helix and in DCU as well as being involved in the general flow of the society!. I'd have to say that I'm passionate about Comedy in particular and owes it to DCU Drama for finding all of my best friends in college (and in life!). I'm really excited for the year ahead and meeting all the new talent (in Drama that is!)..and any new ideas, I would love to hear them!!. For all newcomers to Drama, I'd just like to say: throw yourself into wherever your talent lies, but don't be afraid to try new things!..and Enjoy!! xxx |

| Olivia Hughes | Secretary | |
|
Hi my name is Olivia Hughes and I am your secretary for this year.
I'm in Contemporary Culture and Society, final year, which makes me so sad because I do not want to leave DCU, and more importantly DCU Drama!!! I am originally from England but have lived in Cavan for the last 11 years, so if you're wondering where the funny accent came from (unfortunatley not Australia), now you know!! :) I only really got actively involved in DCU Drama last year, but it changed my DCU life!! I have made so many great friends, and been invloved in some amazing productions. My job on committee is basically to organise all the meetings, make sure everyone can attend, set the agendas and record everything said. I am also the committee's right-hand woman, so really any jobs people need help with, im there to lend a hand and do my bit. Im very friendly and approachable, so if anyone does have any problems or queries, don't hesitate to drop me an email, or even come up to me on campus, I promise won't eat you!! :) This year, myself and the committee are really trying make DCU Drama an amazing experience for you during your time at DCU. Never be afraid to audition or get involved because you just never know what it might lead to!! |

My job is to look after all of Dramas money, keep an eye on the accounts and make sure all the events and shows we put on have enough money. This year I am also looking after our yearly trip to Broadway. I've been a member of Drama since I started in DCU and have loved every minute of it. I've been involved in a wide range of Dramas shows in several ways. In my first Panto "Snowfinger" I played a British secret agent. After being away from campus on a years work placement, I am looking forward to another fun filled year in Drama and I hope you are all too. Make a Scene |

| Oisín Kelly | Webmaster | |
|
Hey I'm Oisín Kelly, I'm a 3rd Year Computer Applications student and I'm this year's webmaster.
I've been involved with DCU Drama since first year, my first show being the 2008 panto "Snowfinger", playing Becky Campbell, the Welsh cross dresser, followed by "Twelfth Knight," playing Molvolio, and then the musical "Rent" in the Helix. Last year I was in the panto again, and took part in the "Please Talk Festival" in a one act. I was also one of the Assistant Producers and Webmaster for the 2010 musical "Hair". And even before coming to DCU I was involved with drama, I was in a Speech and Drama school from 1997 until 2007, and performed in loads of shows over the course of those 10 years, and at one point I was in a show for the 2006 Wexford Festival Opera. When I'm not updating the drama website, I'm off with my mates, both the ones from home, and the one's I've made in college. I'd have to say that being in Drama was a very good choice I've made in life, right up there with when I bought Coco Pops over Rice Crispies and bringing wellies to Oxegen. And I'll finish with a quote from a game I love: "Embrace your dreams, and whatever happens protect your honour." |
